Just a few years ago, laptop computers or notebooks were truly a luxury item, at prices almost twice those of desktop computers. But as technology progresses, prices come down, and nowadays a laptop is commonplace. It's easy to see why - portable computers are much more compact and visually pleasing, and they allow you the convenience of taking your work with you. For students, this means that you can have your computer with you in class or at the library. For professionals, working at home - or even on your daily bus or train commute - becomes easy. There are numerous reasons to invest in a laptop.
That having been said, there are also some things you should be aware of before making the decision to upgrade to a laptop.
