One of the best side effects of the current proliferation of laptops - many of which are entirely new models, made to appeal to a specific segment of laptop users is that it is now possible to buy a laptop at a very reasonable price. Used or refurbished laptops are one possibility, but if you can get find a source for wholesale laptops, you are ahead of the game. You can get a state of the art system for much less than you would pay retail. Wholesale laptops are almost always a great deal.

Unless you are in the computer business or a related business, however, wholesale laptops may be a hard to come by. You can try one of the various companies, online or otherwise, that offers 'wholesale prices'. Do some research before committing to a purchase, though. Only rarely are 'wholesale prices' for something so valuable as a laptop all they're cracked up to be.

There are notable exceptions, however. Some companies offer wholesale prices because they are, in fact, in the liquidation business. Surplus or unsold computers and other related products are sometimes sold by auction at great prices. Often, these are quality products - the sole reason they have ended up being sold in this manner is circumstantial, and not anything to do with the computer itself. Of course, you should still do your research to make sure that you're really getting a deal.  Sometimes retail prices can be lower than you would have imagined. Before purchasing, investigate what, if any, recourse you have if your wholesale laptops don't quite meet your expectations.
